Plans
We read the drawings against each other (architectural, structural, mechanical) and flag where they don’t agree. A clash caught on paper is a change order avoided in the field.

Numbers
We check the budget and the bids line by line for what’s missing, double-counted, or priced light. The costly surprises are usually the ones no one wrote down.

Schedule
We look at the sequence and the milestones for where it will bind (the long-lead orders, the trades stacked on top of one another) while there’s still time to move them.
